Over function v Under function

 

Life is an Oscillation. Life balance is BS. It is constantly moving through highs and lows. Our natural DNA rhythms are an example of this. It’s how high the peaks are and how low the troughs are that will challenge you. You need contrast, you need variety and you also need certainty.

Find your ‘flow’ where you can move with minimal effort into and through situations. Using the least amount of energy and staying on track with the agreed outcomes is optimal. Energy management is critical to well being, productivity and contributing to those around you and living a fulfilling life.

Over-functioning, operating at a high level with no time to rest, rejuvenate and reset will lead to burn out. Under-function and you will be stuck in a life of excuses, blame and denial. Which do you prefer?

I’m not saying you want to not experience the fullness of life, I am saying there is a range of day to day routine like things that can be managed into a more even and manageable level. Doing this gives you more energy to enjoy and handle the extremes that come along.

All Superheroes have their setbacks.  They feel unappreciated and misunderstood or have an arch enemy conspiring against them. The true Superhero dusts him self off and gets back in there.
